DRESS TO IMPRESS

On behalf of all the
Consultants and other staff of the Orthopaedic
Directorate I would like to invite you with
partner and other friends to join us for the
annual Orthopaedic Ball on 20th September 2008,
Saturday at Floral Hall. In the past this has
been an entertaining event, providing the best
social gathering in town and a real value for
money.
The cost per ticket is
£30/-. The cost for an entire table of 10
is £270/-. Please do send in a cheque with
the tear of slip in the flyer. Please draw
cheques in favour of "Southport and Ormskirk
Hospitals NHS Trust". Due to high demand and to
prevent disappointment we are requesting a third
of the value of the tickets as a non refundable
advance. For a single ticket the advance is
£10/- and for a table the advance is
£100/-. Please note that all proceeds of
the Ball will be used only for charitable
purposes within the hospital.
We currently have a small
positive balance and plan to give away 4
educational grants this year during the ball.
This is to express our gratitude to all our
Hospital staff who have tirelessly worked for
the welfare of our patients.

- Each grant would be for a value of
up to £300/- and the details are as follows. One for
a member of the nursing profession, one for therapy staff
(physio and occupational therapists including
assistants), one for allied supporting staff
(pharmacists, radiographers, secretaries, ward clerks,
nursing auxiliaries and admin staff) and one for any
student attached to our hospital. This grant can be used
by the recipient to attend any professional course to
further their career / education. Rules of entry and
regulations would be published later.
